Basic Norms

Certification under Basic Norms is confined to the basic legally valid existence and alive status of a Voluntary Organization, working in a particular area, based on the self declaration, documents and reference. The primary aim of Basic Norms is to promote initiatives on accreditation and accountability for building trust and confidence in Voluntary Sector.

A VO can be certified under Basic Norms by providing information, certified documents and references, and submitting a nominal fee of Rs. 1000/-.

Photocopies of Documents to be sent by post or courier :

  • Copy of Registration Certificate
  • Copy of Memorandum of Association/ Rules and Regulations/ Bye-laws/ Trust Deed (including all amendments)
  • Copy of Sec. 12A Registration
  • Copy of 80G Registration, if available
  • Copy of PAN
  • Copy of Address proof (Electricity bill/Telephone bill etc.)
  • Copy of Rent Agreement, in case of rented space
  • Copies of latest ITR filed
  • Copy of FCRA Registration, if applicable
  • Focus Area of Operation
  • Application form duly certified by a Notary or any other Authority
  • Copy of latest Audited Statements
  • Self Declaration*

*Stating that the “Organization has never been black listed by any Organization or never have been found in any financial irregularities or criminal activities till date”

[Note : Copy of the above documents are to be certified by a Notary Public, Magistrate, Gazetted Officer of a Govt. Department and submitted to Credibility Alliance]
